The EPL-PT-100LED-RT-LV-SOL-C1D2 Explosion Proof Solar-powered LED Fixture from Larson Electronics is ideal for illuminating hazardous locations and remote industrial facilities. This lighting system consists of an explosion proof, 100-watt LED lamp, 190-watt solar panels and an external Class I, Division 2 enclosure, which houses two, 250aH batteries and controls. A slip fit yoke mount allows operators to adjust the positioning of the light directly over the target area.
The EPL-PT-100LED-RT-LV-SOL-C1D2 is a sustainable lighting solution for illumination in hazardous locations. An explosion proof, 100-watt LED lamp provides 11,667 lumens of white light with a color temperature rating of 5,000K. Featuring a flood beam pattern, the low voltage unit can accommodate wide spaces. Powering the LED luminary is a 190-watt solar panel and two, 250aH batteries. The explosion proof light is constructed of cast aluminum with a hardened borosilicate glass lens.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. Solid state LED lighting is also safer for the environment as LEDs are 100% recyclable. And recycling simultaneously reduces operating costs by eliminating the need for the expensive special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Battery/Solar Panels: Charged by the 190-watt rated solar panels, two 12V 250aH 8D batteries provide constant, reliable power to the LED fixture. As with all solar powered equipment, charging time is affected by the amount of available ambient light. Indirect sunlight and low ambient light levels, such as on cloudy days, will extend the charge time.
The valve regulated lead acid batteries and controls are contained within a heavy-duty remote enclosure that is powder coated aluminum for corrosion resistance and includes pad-lockable hasps. The Class I, Division 2 enclosure is equipped with circuit breakers for short circuit protection.
Mounting: The explosion proof light features an adjustable swivel bracket constructed of 3/8" aluminum that allows over 270° of adjustment and is attached to a slip fit yoke mount for easy installation. The slip fit yoke caters to customer`s specs, enabling operators to mount this explosion proof LED light to their specific pole size. For example, selecting a 2" OD mount means that the yoke mount will fit onto pipes or bull horns with a 2" OD.
During installation, operators may mount the solar panels away from the LED lamp on a pole, allowing optimized positioning for direct exposure to sunlight (not in the hazardous area). Standard installation for explosion proof lighting, including threaded rigid pipe to the LED light fixture and appropriate seal-offs, etc. are required.
Wiring: The EPL-PT-100LED-RT-LV-SOL-C1D2 ships with 40 feet of 12/2 SOOW cord, consisting of 20` 12/2 SOOW cord between the solar panels and battery enclosure, and 20` 12/2 SOOW cord between the battery enclosure and the explosion proof LED lamp. Custom lengths are available upon request. Please contact us for special requirements.
Applications: Paint spray booths, aircraft maintenance, oil drilling rigs, refineries, solvent and cleaning areas, gas processing plants, chemical manufacturing, waste treatment plants, agricultural sites, grain storage facilities and more.

Superior LED Benefits |
|
1. Each unit dialectically tested.
2. Fixture arrives assembled and lamped to reduce installation time and cost. Adjustable mounting brackets enable the operator to choose any mounting angle for the fixture.
3. Fixture constructed of extruded corrosion resistant copper free aluminum alloy
4. No ballast box. No ballast to replace. We simply run the black wire to one end of the bulb and white wire to the other.
5. Heavy gauge extruded aluminum reflectors with high gloss reflective finish. Resists dents and corrosion.
6. A wrench is used to unscrew the end caps for relamping the fixture, while some competitive models require the end tap and knock off method to loosen the end cap.
7. Explosion proof, impact and heat resistant Pyrex tubes provide lamp protection.
