The EX-XL Epic Ball Head from Explorer Photo & Video is an extra large-sized, lightweight travel ball head. It has a hollowed design which makes it up to 20% lighter than similar size heads, yet it has a load capacity of 88.2 pounds. Weighing only 1.2 lb, it has a robust 52mm ball diameter that can support larger lenses while still being compact enough to use with camera bodies and lens combinations of all sizes. The large main adjustment knob has a friction control dial, and an independent pan lock knob allows the head to rotate on its base. The Arca-type quick release clamp is knob-tightened and includes an EX-60 quick release plate.
The Explorer EX-XL ball head is CNC-machined from an aircraft-grade aluminium alloy and anodized with an oxidation treatment that ensures a durable, high-quality finish.
