The Modultra Beefcake back plate is a rear mounting contact frame for your intel LGA 1700 socket mother board that replaces the weak and flexible stock LGA socket back plate. The beefcake was designed to eliminate any ILM induced bending to your CPU and motherboard. In addition the Beefcake back plate eliminates any bending moment of the motherboard from your CPU thermal solution. Also because the Beefcake is mounted on the motherboard, it makes installation and uninstallation of your Intel thermal solution much easier as you do not need to hold the back plate in place, during installation. This is especially usefull in situations where rear motherboard access is not possible.
