The RL-21-VISUV-365NM-KT from Larson Electronics is a Rechargeable Combination Spotlight Kit capable of illuminating targets and objects at a distance of 26,250 feet. Equipped with a hard carrying case and UV safety glasses, the portable handheld unit allows operators to roam freely around sites. This powerful IP66 rated spotlight is capable of providing UV light at 365nm and visible white light at 5000K. Light Features: The RL-21-VISUV-365NM-KT offers both UV light and visible white light for inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) applications. In white light mode, the unit delivers an impressive 20,000 lux with a maximum beam distance of 26,250 feet. This LED light cuts through the darkness with an ultra-focused 2.5° tight spot beam that clearly and sharply illuminates objects all the way to the end of the beam. In UV mode, the device emits 365nm UV light facilitated by a UV passing acrylic lens. Available operating modes include: on UV, on visible white light and off. This kit comes with clear, UVS-30 rated safety glasses for UV protection during use. Constructed of impact-resistant polymer, this IP66 rated spotlight is built to withstand rugged use and harsh outdoor conditions. The unit is ergonomically designed for balanced and comfortable handling. The handle ensures a firm grip even in wet conditions. A hard carrying case with dense foam inserts is included for seamless storage and transportation.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
